The Biggest camping chair on the market!
Over 7ft tall!
Big Swoll quality is built into every chair. Premium 500 denier polyester with extra heavy duty stitching and hinge points.
Turn some heads with this massive chair. It stands over 7ft tall with the canopy and 5-1/2ft tall without it.
Not only does this chair stand above the rest but its built with comfort in mind with padded seats for a truly enhanced seating experience. It is also easy to fold design fits easily in to the carrying bag.
The Fabric: When looking at the fabrics we originally thought to use a 500 denier nylon as nylon is often thought of as a stronger material than polyester or other materials. However, after testing many fabrics, we went with at 500 denier polyester. Not only is the material strong but its waterproof too. And the material resists dirt buildup. While many chairs use a lighter denier material we chose 500 denier for its strength. We ultimately went with polyester because nylon is more stretchy and absorbs water more than polyester. As nylon absorbs water it has more elongation. When nylon fibers absorb water they can expand to 3.5% in length. Whereas polyester absorbs just a few tenths of a percent of water and doesn't seem to expand or shrink at all. Polyester is also faster drying than nylon and other materials. Faster dry times means you don't have to leave it out to dry for hours on end before putting it away.
The Cooler: Yep we did that too! We have all been there before... you get all comfortable and settled into your chair when your drink runs out and you need to get up to get another only to find it is warm as the midday sun. Yuck! So we added an insulated pouch directly into the arm. The insulated pouch has a double zipper so it can hold ice and up to 6 cans of your favorite drink. Works great to store your keys away too! And because we wanted it to be even better we finished it with a velcro closure for added security.
We added a cup holder with reinforced ring to prevent tearing.
The Phone Holder: Why not? We had room so we added a phone holder too. No one goes without their phone these days. And you don't want to have to dig for your phone every time you want to take a photo. Keep your phone at arm's reach with the built-in phone holder on the arm.
Oh, and another cup holder!
The Canopy: Yes, we did it. We added a canopy. Why? Because we could! No one likes to sit out in the hot sun or get soaked in the rain. And so we added the canopy to protect you from sunburns and sudden rain showers. And again, that quick drying polyester material will dry quickly so you don't have to leave it out to dry long.
The Bag: When we started with our first prototype the bag was a slip-on draw-string bag that was okay but our project developer and Dr. Handy's President, Alice Pike, could barely handle the bag. She is 5'2" and it was taller than she is. So she struggled to close and to carry the bag. Alice said we needed to make it easier for those that are shorter like her. So we added wheels to the bag and a zipper. Now you can place the chair in the bag and zip it closed with ease instead of forcing it into a sleeve style bag.
The Size: Ok, the moment we have all been waiting for... the size. The Chair stands a whopping 87" (7-1/4ft) tall with the canopy. Without the canopy it stands 67" or 5-1/2ft. The Chair is 62" at it widest point (arm to arm). The Seat is 42" Wide & 37" Deep. The seat back is 35" tall. The seat is 29" Off the ground.
I’m Randy Thornton. Some of you may know me from my NFL days as a former defensive end and linebacker for the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears. Others may know me from my days in the wrestling world as Big Swoll the No Limit Soldier. Others may know me from working with No Limit Records. At over 300lbs I broke my fair share of folding chairs. I even injured myself on a folding camping chair. I tried an extra big chair hoping it would hold me. But I never found one sturdy enough. So I sought out to make my own.
The Big Swoll Chair has been a dream of mine for many years. I have repaired chairs over and over again but they keep breaking. I was shocked to learn that hundreds of thousands of people are injured every year in folding chair accidents. And after years of searching I found a team to make the chair. They have experience in all the aspects of developing products, marketing, shipping, and more. I worked closely with the team to develop a chair I call the Big Swoll Chair. And it lives up to its name...
* Its over 7ft tall with the canopy and over 5 ½ ft tall without it.
* Has 2 cup holders
* Pouch for you cell phone
* Insulated zipper pouch for your drinks or keys.
* Zippered carrying bag with wheels
* It holds up to 600lbs! That's right 600lbs!!!!!
* Designed in the USA and manufactured by an American owned company.
I was told that I should sell these chairs for $399 but I don’t think I want to do that. I want to make the Big Swoll chair more affordable to everyone, so I will be selling it for $245. The chair is not yet available but will be soon. Check back here for availability.
